What Are We Looking For?
In an effort to continue the good work we have already accomplished, we are seeking a highly-skilled professional to fill a Data & GIS Analyst vacancy in our Business Services section. We are seeking a candidate to fill this important role. In this role you will:

• Design and create queries to extract data from our data application systems
• Develop written documentation and user manuals for field data collection procedures Implement and maintain major data applications systems (i.e. Orbit Geospatial, Cartegraph OMS and ESRI) in support of improving operational workflows and data integrity
• Develop quality assurance methods, processes and reports that focus on data completeness and accuracy
• Build and maintain web maps
• Design, develop and maintain spatial databases
• Provide ongoing technical assistance for GIS applications

Minimum Qualifications/Transferable Skills*:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college with major coursework in geography, computer science, statistics, natural resources or a related field, or equivalent.
• Two years of increasingly responsible in GIS and industry related experience.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

 
Preferred Qualifications/Transferable Skills*: You do not need to have the following preferred qualifications/transferable skills to qualify. However, keep in mind we may consider some or all of the following when identifying the most qualified candidates. Please clearly explain on your application how you meet any of the following preferred qualifications/transferable skills.

• Excellent verbal and written skills, including the ability to communicate complex technical data and concepts to non-technical staff
• Advanced ESRI ArcGIS skills
• Advanced MS Excel and/or Google Sheets skills
• Knowledge or understanding of asset or operations management software
• Ability to make sound recommendations and decisions based on research and analysis.
• Ability to interact and work with a diverse group of people and at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to actively build and manage professional relationships with managers, executives, staff and key external contacts
• Ability to motivate and encourage others
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
