ODOT Transportation Development Data Division is recruiting for a GIS analyst to integrate and use spatial transportation data to produce high quality analysis and output. This person will ensure the appropriate collection, storage, integration, and documentation of spatial data and will support the GIS application team. They will ensure consistent business practices regarding spatial data and GIS and will evaluate new and existing software.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinate the maintenance and use of multiple GIS spatial databases.
• Conduct business process analysis to ensure spatial database quality control and access.
• Design, create, and coordinate the production of custom GIS products.
• Provide advice about the development and use of GIS spatial data.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of database models and metadata.
• Coordinate data collection for the production of the official state map of Oregon.
• Develop and deliver training for GIS applications, spatial data systems, and processes.
• Provide customer assistance in diagnosing and resolving problems.
• Produce publications, technical reports, and other communications.
• Provide spatial data analysis.
• Research the development, purchasing, and implementation of new technology.
• Develop, document, and support GIS computer programming to automate business practices.
• Product custom data analysis, maps, and reports for the agency.

Qualifications, Required & Requested SkillsMinimum Qualifications:
Three years of geographic information systems experience.
OR 
An associate's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field (such as geography, GIS, geology, planning, mathematics, social sciences, natural resources, computer science or a closely related spatial data analysis field) OR completion of a two year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field AND one (1) year of geographic information systems experience.
