GIS Analyst Position - Kodiak Island Borough, Alaska. 
Salary Range: $27.85-$37.46/hour, DOQ.

General Description:
The Kodiak Island Borough IT Department is accepting applications for the regular, fulltime position of GIS Analyst. 

This is a union position. The GIS Analyst works at an advanced level to maintain the Borough’s GIS system, under direct supervision of the IT Supervisor. Coordinates GIS activities with state, federal and local governments and other entities to ensure adherence to established standards and guidelines. Provides for the development of GIS tools and subsequent training of staff. Works with IT staff in the development and maintenance of GIS databases.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in geography, geodesy, computer science, civil engineering, or related field, and two (2) years of experience in the GIS industry.  Any equivalent combination of experience, education and training which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work may be considered.
