GIS Analyst w/ Applus RTD (CA)

A GIS Analyst position is available in Bakersfield, California.

Position Purpose:
To develop and provide general maintenance of the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and to provide high quality, timely reports to customers. Responsibilities include: establishing and managing a project schedule; establishing and monitoring project control criteria (e.g. key performance metrics); managing the project plan; planning resource requirements; proactively identifying and managing project risk; anticipating and managing issues; and providing current and accurate reporting. This position is responsible for taking a leadership role in the projects assigned including reporting, resolving, and escalating issues as they arise.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for continuous development, operation and maintenance of the Geographic Information System
  
• Generate time sensitive GIS reports for customers and ensure deadlines are met
• Review incoming data for accuracy, quality and completeness
• Responsible for compiling mapping projects and delivering finished products to users
• Enter new map data by direct input of coordinate information
• Preparation of mapping requests for customers
• Assist in development of customer mapping needs
• With limited supervision, manage project execution and delivery, including high-quality deliverables and high levels of customer satisfaction
• Review project status with supervisor focusing on schedules, issues, and risks, with plans to address variances
• Maintain a strong customer focus
• Additional tasks as requested by supervisor
