GENERAL INFORMATION:  The primary purpose of this position is to assist the District's GIS Administrator in maintaining the data integrity of the District's facility mapping, GIS, and work order systems. The successful candidate will assist in the collection and maintenance of data including customer information, electric system facilities, construction specifications and assemblies, and materials inventory. The position will require field investigations of the District's electric and fiber optic systems facilities. The position will assist the GIS Administrator in evaluating potential GIS software and tools and with providing technical support and services to personnel who use the various systems.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Geography or related field from an accredited four year college or university is preferred. Working knowledge of ESRI ArcMap is required. Working knowledge of Schneider Electric ArcFM, ArcFM Viewer, Designer, Fiber Manager and Inspector and a working knowledge of electrical and fiber distribution systems is highly desirable. Working knowledge of AutoCAD is desirable. The applicant must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools. The applicant must have the ability to operate a variety of equipment including plotters, printers, and GPS units. Applicant must have excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with customers and co-workers in clear, concise, and courteous fashion. Applicant must be flexible in handling multiple assignments with changing priorities and must reliably meet deadlines. This position requires the ability to perform physical work in an outdoor environment. Knowledge of survey tools, technology and methods is desirable. Applicant must have the ability to maintain detailed records. The GIS Analyst must possess a valid Washington State Drivers License.

This is an administrative position and is not subject to any of the conditions contained in the Collective Bargaining Agreement other than those benefits which apply to all employees.
