GIS Coordinator w/ Benton County (Corvalis, OR)

Job Summary
The Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst is responsible for large scale projects that are complex and of significant operational impact. We are looking for an experienced, individual who will be a contributor that works under limited supervision.  This person will guide and advise less experienced staff.

  • Annual salary range of $63,069  to $85,106. 
    • This position guarantees two salary raises within your first year. Increases are given at the end of the 6 month probationary period and at the 1 year anniversary, as long as your performance is in good standing! Increases are given until the maximum of the salary range is reached.
    • For most employees who take advantage of health benefits the salary only makes up 60% of their total compensation. The County invests in you and your family!

Minimum Qualifications
The following minimum qualifications are required for this position:   
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences or related field; AND
  • 2 years of experience as a GIS Analyst.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted. Please note candidates must have at least 6 months of actual work experience to be considered as equivalent.

  • Is able to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Is comfortable interacting directly with stakeholders.
  • Is familiar with government operations.
  • Enjoys creating novel solutions to problems.
