The position will delineate new hydrography in Oregon and Washington where high quality LiDAR-based Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) are available. The new hydrography will be used to update the high resolution National Hydrography Dataset (NHD) and National Watershed Boundary Dataset (WBD). This position is located in Portland, OR. The Hydrographic Analyst will develop new hydrography delineations using LiDAR-derived Digital Elevation Models (DEMs), imagery, and field collected data, which will be incorporated into the high-resolution National Hydrography Dataset (NHD). These data include interim raster products, final hydro-flattened/enforced DEMs, breaklines, channel initiation points, etc. Deliverables: •Flow-line, waterbody, and 2d stream area spatial feature classes formatted following the high-resolution NHD data standards. •Hydrologic DEMs and breakline features. •Scripts and written documentation describing the entire modeling process.
