GIS Tech Internship (I-19-1471)
As the GIS Tech Intern, you’ll provide support to existing GIS staff by performing entry level spatial data query, display, manipulation, and update tasks. Develop complex queries to identify data update opportunities. Understand electric system connectivity rules inherent in the GIS data model. Interpret design and construction drawings and performing GIS data updates accordingly. Create clear cartographic displays of complex electrical system features in a mapping environment. You must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate student (recent graduate or GED accepted) in good standing with a minimum GPA of 2.5 and pursuing a bachelor’s degree, preferably in a field related to internship.

Additional Requirements:

• To be eligible for PGE’s Summer Internship program, you must be at least 18 years old as of June 1, 2019 and have met one of the following criteria:
• A high school senior who has enrolled in a college or trade school
• A current college or trade school student who is returning to college or a trade school in the fall of 2018 as a full-time student
• A recent 2018 – 2019 college graduate
• You must provide verification of your student status by submitting your college transcript (an unofficial one is acceptable) or letter of acceptance to a college or trade school with your online application.
