We are looking for a GIS Analyst II to join our Kirkland team. Job Description The GIS Analyst II will support both internal and external GIS client project work and maintain GIS data to be used for analysis and mapping/cartographic design. In addition, he/she will work at the direction of project discipline leads for completing any GIS related requests as needed. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing GIS analysis, data creation and maintenance, mapping/cartography, and client relations as related to our clients needs. Required Qualifications • Mid-level experience using ESRI GIS software products and extensions to include Spatial Analyst and Network Analyst. Understanding of common tools within the XTools Pro extension (Table exporting/restructuring, layer conversions, etc. . .) • Ability to perform data format conversions from CAD to GIS and attribute population from CAD record drawings • Proficient in performing common GIS tasks including raster georeferencing, digitizing, attribute editing and general GIS layer data management as well as creating maps. • Experience with ArcSDE Enterprise geodatabase formats and structure. • Experience with SQL Server/MS Access DBMS at a basic database design concept level. • Proficient in the use of GIS geodatabases, data editing, maintaining geodatabases, and metadata creation and maintenance • Knowledge of GIS terminology and ESRI standard data models for the Utility (Water, Sewer, Stormwater) and/or Telecomm Industries • Strong interest and experience in developing creative solutions and producing high quality graphics. • Ability to work with planning, engineering and survey professionals to analyze data and develop useful maps and exhibits for a variety of planning and engineering documents. • Ability to clearly communicate GIS solutions with clients and perform presentations. • Applicants must have good time management skills in order to support co-workers and provide delivery materials to clients with mapping needs for both internal and external clients Preferred Skills • Knowledge of GIS terminology and ESRI standard data models for the Utility (Water, Sewer, Stormwater) and/or Telecomm Industries • Experience with ESRI ArcGISServer and/or ArcSDE applications • Good presentation and communication skills. Education • BA/BS in Geography, Cartography, Planning, Natural Resources, Computer Science or GIS related field preferred Experience • Three to five years of GIS experience with utilizing ESRI ArcGIS 10.x software suite (ArcCatalog, ArcMap, ArcToolbox, and extensions) for a variety of needs.
