Cascadia Partners, a Portland-based planning and economics firm is looking to hire an associate planner / data analyst.

Urban Planner and Data Analyst
Position Available Immediately

Cascadia Partners seeks a junior to mid-level team member who is an analytical and detail-oriented
thinker with relevant experience or training in urban planning, development, economics, and/or data
analysis. Cascadia Partners is a fast-growing, diverse, and multidisciplinary firm with a primary office in
Portland and a satellite presence in Bend, Oregon.

Our team works on 20-30 projects across the country ranging from large-scale master planning and
development projects, mission-driven public-private partnerships, policy and zoning analysis with a
strong analytical focus, and data-driven planning work, including land use and transportation scenarios
modeling. We have a focus on actionable plans that get built and solutions rooted in equitable
community engagement.

Experience & Work Ethic Desired
● Experience in the planning, economics, design, environmental policy, and/or master’s degree in
Urban Planning, Real Estate Development, Public Policy, Economics, or Resource Management
● Organized and detailed-oriented work ethic; management of multiple projects, to-do lists, tight
schedules, etc.
● Interest in data analysis and telling visual stories using data
● Interest in real estate development and willingness to learn pro-forma analysis
● Team player - eagerness to dive in, collaborate, learn, grow
● People-person capable of interacting with subcontractors, clients and public

Technical Skillsets Desired
● Analytical thinker with experience working in Excel and other quantitative analysis programs
● Spatial analysis experience and proficiency in ArcGIS suite or QGIS
● Storyteller with experience creating compelling InDesign documents preferred
● Concise, compelling writer - journalistic rather than technical preferred

Compensation
● $60,000-$70,000 salary depending on experience + profit sharing
