Spatially Connected

The Geoinformatics Center (GIC) of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) has been designated as the Project Manager by the International Charter for processing the satellite data acquired immediately after the catastrophic disaster in the north-east part of Japan on 11 March, 2011. GIC has received a large number of satellite data of the affected areas and these data have been processed at GIC to prepare maps showing the tsunami affected areas. All these maps are now available at the International Charter's Website below:
