Qualifications: The Linn County GIS Department has an internship opportunity available. We are looking for a part time (around 20 hours a week) paid intern. The internship would start during the summer and continue to the end of the summer or December (depending on the interns availability). It is open to anyone with an interest and some background in GIS. Most of the time on the internship will involve document research and/or historical aerial photography related issues. Compensation: Wage: $13 to $15 an hour depending on qualifications. The National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON), which is funded by the National Science Foundation and operated by Battelle, has a few remaining ecological sampling crew positions at its Vancouver, WA field office.
Members of the field crew play a crucial role in the Observatory, working hands-on to collect samples and data on plants, small mammals, water quality, ticks, mosquitoes, soils, and much more.
