NatureServe, an international nonprofit conservation organization, is seeking a full-time Biodiversity Monitoring Specialist to join its team of scientists. The Biodiversity Monitoring Specialist will develop and manage core indicators of the pressures on biodiversity, status of biodiversity, conservation responses, and ecosystem service benefits provided by these conservation responses. The position will engage both global and regional conservation communities to develop the indicators. Initial work will focus on three tropical regions.
The ideal candidate will have a M.S. in conservation-related science, five years experience in activities related to biodiversity conservation monitoring, broad geographic experience including in tropical biodiversity conservation, experience with databases and GIS analysis, excellent English writing and speaking skills, and additional languages.
