As this spring semester comes to a close, I wanted to update you on our available fall internships before your students head off for the summer. We will have a number of positions available through the Federal Diversity Internship Initiative and would be grateful if you could spread the word to your students!
We anticipate a high demand for students with GIS backgrounds during the fall term. Students with related training and experience are expected to be very successful candidates, and they are highly encouraged to apply!
Accepted students will receive free housing (if the internship is located away from home) and a stipend.
Internships last for 15 weeks and are available with these agencies:
• Consumer Financial Protection Bureau
• Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
• U.S. Department of Health and Human Services
• U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
• U.S. Department of the Treasury
• U.S. Census Bureau
Interested students must submit an application by June 7, 2017 to be considered.
