What’s the Opportunity?
The GIS Analyst will support project teams nationwide as a member of the GIS Team and Shared Technical Services. Anchor QEA uses ArcGIS for Desktop, ArcGIS Enterprise and Portal, and ArcGIS Online. Work can be fast-paced in the environmental consulting business, requiring teams to organize and prioritize work with tight deadlines and competing priorities.
The GIS Analyst’s role includes the following:

• Support senior staff with how GIS is applied on projects from data acquisition to management to analysis then reporting.
• Support team with various tasks related to ArcGIS Enterprise, publishing services, and creating web applications for project use through Portal for ArcGIS.
• Support field data collection efforts with Collector for ArcGIS and Survey123 on Android and iOS tablets.
• Engage with project and GIS teams to support and encourage new uses of data for project teams in decision-making and collaboration.
• Generate professional cartographic products.
• Provide technical support to GIS users.
• Document best practices.

What Are We Looking For?
Requirements include a bachelor’s or master’s degree in geography, environmental studies, or a related field and 1 to 3 years of progressive consulting experience with ArcGIS Desktop, environmental spatial analysis, document production, and data/geodatabase management. Candidates should demonstrate excellence in critical spatial thinking, troubleshooting, organization, attention to detail, and cartography with the ability to communicate and present data effectively to various audiences (from technical experts to the public) on multiple platforms. Preferred experience includes Python programming, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise (Collector for ArcGIS, Survey123, Portal for ArcGIS, QGIS, publishing web services, and deploying web applications), and/or ArcGIS Online.
