The City is seeking an experienced candidate for the position of GIS Analyst to perform highly responsible administrative, technical and analytical work in the development, operation and maintenance of the City's Geographic Information System (GIS). This position will administer and manage the operation of City GIS services including software and hardware, standards compliance, database maintenance, online mapping tools and administration, and related system analysis and programming. The preferred candidate will utilize project management skills, advanced knowledge and understanding of GIS best practices, techniques, system architecture and data analysis to manage complex projects and to utilize ArcGIS software to meet user needs and increase efficiencies.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, Land Use Planning, Urban Planning, Computer Science, Landscape Architecture, or closely related field.
• Three (3) years of progressively responsible GIS experience, including the use of ArcGIS software.
• Municipal experience is preferred.
• GISP certification is desired but not required.
