The Center for Geospatial Analysis at the College of William & Mary invites applications for a professional, non-tenure track position as Coordinator of the GIS Certificate Program beginning in the summer of 2017. We are seeking a colleague with both a commitment to excellence in teaching and the ability to develop and coordinate a GIS Certificate Program. The program coordinator will be expected to develop and launch the program by the start of the 2018 fall semester. The position responsibilities will include launching the program, including the development of the course structure, promoting and recruiting students, finding capstone projects, setting timelines and coordinating the budget. Once launched, the coordinator will continue to run the GIS Certificate program.
In addition to coordinating the GIS Certificate Program, the program coordinator will be expected to teach courses in the Center for Geospatial Analysis based on their expertise. Teaching load is 5 courses per academic year (3-2) with a reduced teaching load during the first year of the program development. This is a 12 month, non-tenure track professional position.
