Tetra Tech International Development is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for a GIS Intern for our Data, Analytics, and Technology (DAT) unit. This position will be based in Burlington, Vermont, or Arlington, Virginia with consideration of other remote US-based locations.
The GIS Intern will support the DAT unit in providing geospatial expertise for international development projects and working to promote innovative approaches to geospatial solutions for projects and new business efforts. Candidates should be experienced in spatial analysis, creating publishable maps, data cleaning, knowledgeable of geospatial solution design and implementation, and an enthusiastic advocate for new technologies. The DAT unit works to support new business efforts, research and develop appropriate technological solutions for project implementation, support projects in the field, and provide training and staff capacity building.
The GIS Intern must bring concrete skills in GIS, remote sensing, and international development. The successful candidate will participate in multiple digital transformation activities to facilitate the organization’s data and analytics delivery and growth.
This internship is paid, and hours are flexible, between 24-40 per week: the duration is up to six months.
