The Oregon Department of Agriculture is seeking a Geographic Information System (GIS) Specialist. This position resides within the Agricultural Water Quality Program but provides services to all of ODA.
As the Information Systems Specialist 3 (GIS Specialist) you will ensure the integration and use of spatial data in agency work using GIS tools to produce high quality analysis and output. This position has an emphasis on customer support and training to ensure appropriate collection, storage, integration and documentation of spatial data to meet the needs of ODA. Will work with mixed data bases and share data with other entities. You will also, perform ad-hoc spatial data analysis, providing graphics and reports whose results impact decisions including funding. Travel throughout the state to support field staff and partners is expected.
Our Information Systems Specialist 3 (GIS Analyst) is a permanent full-time position, located in Salem, Oregon, and is represented by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU).
