The Fox Internship Program offers an exciting opportunity for you to gain practical experience while interning for one of the biggest media and entertainment companies in the world. Learn how to design and research maps and graphics to National Geographic standards—working alongside map editors and other cartographers to acquire and verify data. Participate in the research process to determine the best story to be told and acquire the most-up-to-date data available Produce visually pleasing, accurate, and informative maps and graphics utilizing the latest software while adhering to set printing guidelines. Create thematic spreads for our cornerstone product, the Atlas of the World, and assist as needed with maps and graphics for the National Geographic Magazine and other departments—working with photo editors, writers, researchers, and editors to create an integrated product. Qualifications While individuals of all academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply, applicants should have prior experience in cartographic research and production.
