Research Scientist I(step 4)/ESSC/RL3279
The Research Scientist I (step 4) will provide science coordination support and interface with an international hub, while working as part of the SERVIR Science Coordination Office.
Master's degree in Earth Science or an equivalent field/9 months of full-time related work experience/must have a background in Earth Science and have a demonstrated understanding of environmental concerns and needs in developing regions/must have excellent written and oral communication skills, and have experience in the capacity building processes involving regional thematic experts/must have knowledge of GIS, satellite image processing, remote sensing, programming, and statistics software/experiencing managing technical contacts and engaging international partners/fluency in written and spoken French is required.
