NV5 Geospatial is the geospatial pioneer pushing the boundaries of data and analytics to deliver actionable intelligence to transform the way our clients utilize and value geospatial data. Technical interns are involved in the day-to-day operations of data production and are embedded within a production team at NV5 Geospatial’s Portland, OR office (fully remote or partially remote available). Interns will aid in the processing of remote sensing/GIS data, and general operational efforts, to support projects and team functionality. This individual will learn to produce accurate and precise data products in a consistent and timely manner, and should have a strong interest in the geospatial field. The internship will run for three months from approximately June through September. For interns, the opportunity is meant to introduce them to geospatial production workflows, remote sensing technologies and tools, and provide on-the-job experience and professional skill building.

Requirements of Intern:

• The intern will be currently enrolled in, or a recent grad from, a degree or certificate program in a related field. The intern will be treated as a regular employee, be assigned a team member as a mentor, and will work with their mentor to fulfill an individualized professional development plan.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

• Enrolled as a student, or a recent graduate of, an academic institution with at least one semester completed at the time of application.
• Pursuing, or recently awarded, a degree in remote sensing, geography, GIS, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to think critically
• Experience in a 3D environment, CAD preferred (PLS-CADD, MicroStation, and AutoDesk)
• Fluency with spatial analysis software, such as ArcGIS
• Familiar with raster and vector data
• Aerial image interpretation
